MEET ALEXANDRIA:
Alexandria King, a Masters of Social Work Primary Therapist at Sun Point Wellness Center, brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her work with individuals, couples, and families. A graduate of Millersville University with a Master’s in Social Work, Alexandria embodies the belief that “sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up,” a mantra inspired by Brené Brown. As the first in her family to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, Alexandria’s personal journey of perseverance fuels her passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges.
Alexandria’s specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, women’s mental health, and supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, including those navigating transitioning and identity exploration. She integrates evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and EMDR resourcing into her sessions, creating personalized and effective treatment plans. Her systemic approach helps clients understand the connections between their past and present, offering a pathway to healing and growth. Alexandria’s appreciation for works like The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk deepens her understanding of trauma, helping her connect with clients in a meaningful and empathetic way.
