MEET CHELSEA:

Meet Chelsea Gordon, a compassionate and dedicated therapist whose warmth and openness create a safe space for her clients. With a focus on issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and addiction, Chelsea's approach is characterized by curiosity, encouragement, and a calming presence. She specializes in guiding individuals, couples and families through life transitions, navigating grief, and fostering healthier relationships, including LGBTQ+ and gender identity exploration.  She joins each client with curiosity and a plan to make an active treatment plan benchmarks along the way.

Chelsea earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University, where she was profoundly influenced by the power of cognitive therapy to reshape perspectives and emotions. She has honed her expertise through specialized training in trauma-based interventions, including The Trauma Toolkit at Drexel University. Inspired by Viktor E. Frankl's philosophy, Chelsea believes in the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship above all else, an insight she gleaned from the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Bland.

  • Central to Chelsea's therapeutic approach is creating a space of acceptance and authenticity where clients can explore and embrace their emotions. Drawing from modalities like dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, she collaborates with clients to develop personalized strategies for growth and healing. Chelsea's commitment to empowering individuals extends beyond the therapy room, evidenced by her work with survivors of sexual trauma and her advocacy for self-compassion and resilience.

Chelsea's professional journey includes roles at Paragon Behavioral Health, The Gate House, and Manos House, where she has supported individuals of all ages through recovery and personal development. Her passion for helping others extends into her personal life, where she finds joy in nurturing her garden and creating pottery. Through these endeavors, Chelsea helps her clients find balance and connection, embodying her belief in the importance of self-care and mindfulness.

Progressive, LGBTQ+ friendly, and deeply rooted in community, Chelsea Gordon is a beacon of hope for those navigating life's challenges. With her gentle guidance and unwavering support, she empowers individuals to find meaning, cultivate resilience, and embrace their journey towards healing.

In her free time, you’ll find Chelsea enjoying gardening, especially growing flowers. She aims to support wildlife by incorporating native plants into the landscape, which offer food and shelter for local wildlife. She believes growing a beautiful garden helps her stay in touch with the here-and-now, and allows her inner child to play in the dirt.

You can also find her making pottery on the weekends. Using red clay, she creates functional pieces such as bowls, vases, and flower pots that she can enjoy using every day. She also practices yoga to stay healthy and as an essential part of her self-care.
