MEET LEA:

Lea Denlinger is a compassionate and dedicated therapist with a deep understanding of the importance of safe connections in promoting mental health and well-being. Lea's journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by impactful experiences and inspiring mentors. Lea welcomes individuals, couples and families in her therapy room who are looking to address any difficult patterns so they can thrive in their lives.

During her studies at Eastern University, Lea was influenced by Dr. Ruth Palmer's grief and loss counseling course. This course opened her eyes to the profound impact of various losses in life and taught her how to guide clients through the transformative journey of grief and healing. Lea came to appreciate the universality of grief, while also recognizing its unique expressions across individuals and cultures.

  • Lea's thirst for knowledge and personal growth led her to Hillary L. McBride's book, "The Wisdom of Your Body." This enlightening read helped her understand how cultural influences and traumatic experiences can lead to disembodiment. The book empowered her to dispel harmful messages she had absorbed about bodies and guided her in cultivating healthy, whole connections between the mind and body through embodiment practices.

As a person, Lea is attuned, genuine, accepting, and optimistic, which translates into her therapeutic approach. With compassion and insight, Lea Denlinger is dedicated to helping her clients overcome challenges, find healing, and lead meaningful and satisfying lives through the power of safe connections and therapeutic support.

Lea has an impressive background as an adoption and post permanency caseworker, having served families in the Central Pennsylvania community for 12 years. During this time, she honed her expertise in addressing various mental health and relationship challenges. Additionally, she took pride in creating and facilitating support groups for families dealing with transracial family concerns and open adoption, where she empowered parents with tools to strengthen their family bonds and foster community connections.

From a young age, Lea aspired to become a therapist after discovering the transformative power of healing within therapeutic relationships. Her motivation lies in providing a safe, accepting space for clients to share their stories and experience personal growth. Lea's areas of specialty include trauma and PTSD, attachment concerns, grief, adoption, relationship concerns, sexual concerns, parenting, women's mental health, and spirituality.

Lea values time with her family enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, gardening, yoga, and camping in state and national parks. Her love for culinary creativity and hosting family and friends showcases her warmth and hospitality.
