MEET NICK:
Meet Nick Chasler, a compassionate Mental Health Therapist who’s all about helping people find their way to a healthier, happier life. Nick earned his Master of Science degree from Millersville University and has since dived deep into specialized training and advanced clinical experience to make sure he’s offering the best possible care to his clients.
Nick’s approach to therapy is rooted in creating a warm, welcoming space where clients feel truly understood and accepted. He firmly believes that his clients are the experts on their own lives, and he loves working alongside them to uncover their unique strengths and insights. Nick’s goal is to empower his clients to take meaningful steps toward personal growth. While he centers his work in person-centered therapy, he’s also skilled in various other techniques like CBT, ACT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), schema therapy, and mindfulness and somatic practices. This flexibility allows him to adapt his approach based on what works best for each individual.

Nick specializes in helping people navigate life’s challenges, including adjustment issues, building coping skills, boosting self-esteem, and managing trauma and PTSD, ADHD, depression, LGBTQIA+ concerns, emotional regulation, and communication struggles. He partners with individuals, couples and families who are seeking change in his therapy office and welcomes individuals with all diagnoses, along with trauma histories.
Nick brings a wealth of experience to his practice, having worked in various clinical settings. He served as a Psychiatric Technician at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill, where he was deeply involved in creating a safe and supportive environment for patients. He’s also been a Friendship Group Coach at the Child Study Center at Penn State, leading group therapy sessions aimed at helping kids build social skills. During his time as an Inpatient Graduate Therapist at WellSpan York Hospital, Nick conducted patient intakes, led group sessions, and supported families during the discharge process. He previously worked at Peninsula Behavioral Health, where he provided everything from diagnostic evaluations to evidence-based therapy and crisis intervention, all tailored to fit the individual’s needs and cultural background.
When he’s not working, Nick loves to dive into creative writing and photography. He is one of the founding members of the Creative Writing Club at Penn State University Park, and is currently working on writing a young adult novel. He also has a passion for photography, especially using vintage lenses to capture the beauty in everyday scenes and objects.
